| 4 | Thursday, Independence Day Celebration Everyone loves this family-friendly celebration. Get in line before noon for the Firemen's Chicken BBQ--dine in or take out. Gather at the Waterwheel at 12:30 for the Duck Race. Will your lucky duck be the first one over the flume and out into the millpond? At 2pm move to Downtown's Lakeside Park for the Boat Parade. Vote for your favorite decorated boat. Watch the boats parade around the big island, then return to the Park for the awards ceremony. Live music starts at 7pm at the Gazebo, flares ring the lake at 9:30pm and fireworks bring the day to a booming close at 10pm. |
